Disease states

Acute Myocarditis

Illustrative acute myocarditis with reduced forward output and elevated filling pressures.

Overview

Select Acute Myocarditis under Clinical controls → Cardiomyopathy. The bold italic live label confirms the active selection. These are the preset’s teaching features; combined disease, rate and interventions can change the resulting numbers.

Illustrative acute myocarditis with reduced forward output and elevated filling pressures.

Myocarditis ranges from preserved function to fulminant shock; this preset represents acute pump dysfunction.

Representative ECG abnormalities are available; pressure and ECG findings alone do not establish myocarditis. Rhythm is selected separately.

Chronic ventricular dilation is not presumed.

Step by step

  1. Reset interventions if you want the untreated example.
  2. Select the condition and inspect the pressure summary and relevant waveforms.
  3. Pause for annotations; add one intervention or loading change to compare the response.
